Find the best way between Keflavik airport and Reykjavik
Airport transfer is perhaps not the most fun part of traveling, but we all have to do it. So I have put together an interface from Viator here below; you will see a full selection of all airport transfer services between the city of Reykjavik and Keflavik airport. I hope this helps you find the right Iceland airport transfer service for you.
Look before you book
The “regular bus ride” from Keflavik to Reykjavik city center will take about 45 – 60 minutes. Please note that some buses go directly to the BSÍ bus stop near the city center, and some buses head to Holtagarðar shopping mall, which is quite a distance from the city center. When you are heading home, you can book shared shuttle services which will pick you up at designated bus stops points or hotels in Reykjavik and take you to the airport. I would research the transport options before you book anything. As always, I recommend booking services with many positive reviews.
Is the bus service reliable?
I have often been on the buses when traveling to and from Iceland and never had any problems. However, the Icelandic weather can always be a factor, especially in winter. The regular bus service is basic, but it works. The buses are usually new and well maintained. Most of the buses have Wi-Fi which works most of the time. The main annoyance might be if you have to wait for departure in bad weather. That is why some splurge on a more exclusive mode of transportation. There are plenty of options available!
Book your Iceland airport transfer in advance for peace of mind
